In recognition of West Liberty’s 175th anniversary, Eulenspiegel Puppet Theatre will present a large scale shadow puppet show about our local Underground Railroad history. The show will focus on the dramatic story of John Brown’s trip across Iowa with twelve escaped slaves and the involvement of West Liberty in their quest for freedom. Two shows, at 2:00 p.m. and 4:00 p.m., will be given on Sunday, March 24, at the New Strand Theatre.
